Could capture this Stink bug or Shield bug...

They are known to release a foul smelling secretions when threatened or disturbed...

Can see a drop of that liquid too in the picture...

Retain the colour on the twig where the insect is perched. Rest okay 😊. I took the liberty of copying your picture, increased its definition,put lower part of twig a little more out of focus and colour spotted.
