Galaxy GallerySamsung's Upcoming One UI 8!
Samsung Galaxy Phones, Tablets Might Get Multitasking Upgrades with Android 16-based One UI 8!
A report from a reliable source Android Authority suggests that Google is planning to offer three side-by-side applications for multitasking on tablets with Android16. Since OneUI 8 will be based on Android16, Samsung could adopt this feature for its Galaxy phones and tablets to enhance users’ multitasking experience.
Reportedly, Android16 Developer Preview 2 includes a new way of multitasking that seems to be working on a way to show three applications at once. On smartphones, it will let you switch between two open application windows more instantly in the split-screen mode.

According to the new report, Google is testing a new way of multitasking so that when you open two applications side by side and then open a third app and try to place it in split-screen mode, the UI hints at previews of three places where the applications window can be placed: left, center, or right.
With the coming Android16 update, Google could let you open one app window in 90% of the screen and let the other application window be visible in just 10% of the screen. This means that you can now instantly switch to the application, which is visible on the 10% screen area, just by clicking anywhere on the app window, and the app is now visible on 90% of the screen, while the other app slides into just 10% of the screen.
However, there’s no official statement regarding this report, so it will be interesting to see whether Samsung will adopt this feature with the Android16!
