I was watching a movie. And the duration for that movie was about 2:30 hrs . And in total , it drained 11% of my battery. My question is , Is my battery backup fine or not . My device is F23 5G and my settings , were dark mode and extra dim feature were enabled with Bluetooth airdopes connected also , rest everything is disabled.

Watching movie in OTT vs Watching from internal player makes big difference.

And he is also not using internet.
So according to me the battery backup is not good and I'm saying that because I also have F23 and facing a battery drain issue.


6hrs ideal drain in my F23 is 7%. That is not good.

He didn't mention anything about the app on which he was watching the movie. If it's the inbuilt app, the battery drain is still good. Because at that rate he will get about 16-17 hours of SOT from 100 to 20 percent if he watches movies continuously on the same app(2.30 hours for every 11 percent battery). I don't know how 15 hours plus SOT is bad.

Just edited the comment...even if he was offline and was using default application to watch video, it's still good IMO.

Hmm may be according to you but not good from me as I am also facing this issue in my F23 but not in my M11( almost 3 year old).

I am saying that, facing same major drain issue in F23. It drain more than my 3 year old phone.

I was watching on the default samsung player

In my case its 2% if I'm in home but while travelling, and for this duration, it will drain close to 5%.
