I just got a software update from samsung and after update completion a third party social media app named 'Koo' was installed on my phone without my permission. May i know y? First of all that social media app doesn't guarantee privacy of users data and second thing everyone knows that app is mouthpiece of a political party.

Samsung earns a commission from these apps. That's why the apps get pre-installed with every update.

Samsung installs third party app with new update. Maybe they get some money/commission by doing it.
.
If you have not opened the app then I don't think it will be able to read your data on Device (unless it is some malware, but why would Samsung push Malware on their devices with update 🤔 ). It doesn't effect your privacy if you have not opened it.

They get comission for every successful installation, same thing is done by Chinese companies which is why they're able to give phones at very less price.
