Hello guys, I bought a Samsung F15 from India but did not activate it. Now I am in Australia, and the phone is not accepting an Australian SIM card. The phone is asking for a regional code. I checked with both Samsung service centres from Australia and India as well. Any suggestions?

The regional lock issue can be frustrating.
Understanding Regional Lock
Samsung devices, especially those purchased in certain regions like India, may come with a regional lock. This lock restricts the device to work only with SIM cards from the same region where it was purchased.
Possible Solutions
1. *Contact Samsung India*: Reach out to Samsung India's customer support and provide them with your device's details, including the IMEI number. They might be able to provide you with the regional unlock code or guide you through the unlocking process.
2. *Visit a Samsung Service Center in Australia*: Although you've already contacted Samsung service centers in both countries, it's worth visiting a Samsung service center in Australia again. They might be able to assist you in unlocking the device or provide more information on the regional lock.
3. *Use a Third-Party Unlocking Service*: There are various third-party unlocking services available online, such as UnlockBase, DoctorSIM, or GSMUnlockUSA. These services can provide you with the regional unlock code. However, be cautious when using third-party services, as they may void your device's warranty.
4. *Check with Your Australian Carrier*: Reach out to your Australian carrier's customer support and ask if they can assist you in unlocking the device or provide more information on the regional lock.
Additional Tips
1. *IMEI Number*: Ensure you have your device's IMEI number handy, as it will be required for the unlocking process. You can find the IMEI number on the device's packaging, in the phone's settings, or by dialing *#06#.
2. *Warranty*: Be aware that unlocking your device might void its warranty.
3. *Data Backup*: Before attempting to unlock your device, ensure you have backed up your data, as the unlocking process might erase your device's data.
I hope these steps help you resolve the regional lock issue and get your Samsung F15 working with an Australian SIM card.

Buy an iPhone in Australia. This is an entry level device with region locked sim slot.(₹13000). You have to return it to india through relatives or friends. IPHONE can cost around AUS 200 to AUS 600 (₹12000-₹36000) for 2nd hand or older device(packed new). Good luck.
