memory card makes phone slow..because read write speed of your phone storage is much higher than external drive ,so as it is slow in computing, your device will run slow to come up this speed issue and run on sd card speed. if your phone storage is getting full or atmost full then buy any external sd card otherwise i don't recommend sd card in smartphone ,for this problem many companies like apple doesn't give us freedom to use external sd card.
Bro, that too depends on wheter you are buying generic one or a genuine one I would recommend buying at least a 64GB SD card, if strictly necessary, and that too of preferably Samsung, as it has at least enough write speed to record at 4k

No, it isn't necessary to buy an SD card. Which Brand's you SD card you bought? This depends because generic/non-brand/f a k e SD cards don't have enough speeds So, if you need it though, buy Sandisk or Samsung Sd Card only, and at least 64 GB(as it has enough write speed to record at 4k)
