Galaxy AYou should be able to see your phone contacts with names in addition to the 'Unknown Name' contacts in the contacts app.
The issue is here that the contacts are synced from another program usually Outlook or Gmail, meaning that contact sync within accounts is enabled. You can either turn that off or you can go to contacts click the 3 dots, select "settings", choose "contacts to display", there you will have a list of different contact books e.g. phone contacts, sim contacts you can choose to display on your device.
Hope this helps, if it doesn't please let me know

Galaxy AHi Abhy, I have the same problem with "Unknown name" on my Samsung Galaxy Note 10+
But I can't find Microsoft exchange on my Smartphone. What do I do wrong?
It drives me nuts to see 25 "Unknown names" on my Contact list, I delete them and shortly after that they are back.
It's the Telegram program that makes this Unknown names

Galaxy AIn my case it was Telegram that was making these Unknown Contacts.
Check if it is same for you or some other app.
Don't forget to accept solution as above stated by Abhy so as to help others too.
Thank you.
