I have a Galaxy A50s and it has a Super AMOLED screen. In Android 8.1 and above now devices have the ability to doAutomatic Color Management on wide color gamut devices to change the display color gamut based on the image being displayed.

On supported devices, when try to view a wide gamut photo like red test logo (see attached screenshot) which is aDisplay P3 image, you can see the hidden logo inside the red square. However, as you can see in the image, my device is not displaying that logo.

On Galaxy S10, when you set screen mode to Natural the display manages color automatically and changes its gamut to Display P3 when red square is being displayed and hence we can see the hidden logo. But I cannot see it in my A50s, mainly because Samsung has disabled wide color gamut when you try to check it using Configuration.isScreenWideColorGamut() in code and it returnsfalse.

So, how can I enable this on my device?

Thanks.

Does your A50s have "screen mode" in display settings ?

For older samsung devices, samsung enabled screen mode only for devices having a light sensor.

Don't know if all newer samsung devices having a light sensor gets it.

I am not talking about the light sensor. I am talking about thr screen modes for AMOLED. Natural & Vivid. 😅

I know.
Samsung only gives that feature for devices having a light sensor, I saw it when I looked into the system. (screen mode was linked to it)

I wanted to know if samsung followed the same method for newer devices, thats why I asked whether the screen mode is available in A50s or not.

Does your A50s have "auto brightness" ? And does it have screen mode in settings ?
