You are correct. Why can't Samsung do like iphone. They do not say no updates or patches in 3 years or so

I guess you don't even follow tech News that they are busy finalising the betas. Then the stable version will roll out

Just be patient it should be released possibly next month as long as your device is part of the list to get the updates
