You can turn off vibration only and notification sound will come, if you follow these steps:
1. Open Setting app
2. Open Notifications
3. Under recently sent, Click on More
4. Click on Most recent and change it to All
5. Click on the app for which you want to turn off vibration only
6. (For example, Whatsapp) Under Chats, Click on Group notifications and turn off vibration from there.
You can do the same for the desired app.
Hope this helped you.

Thank you for the steps! I am able to set the vibration off for the required apps. Wondering if there is one simple option just like Sound, Vibrate and Silent where we can control the vibration intensity for notification too. Asking this because when I switch to vibrate mode from sound, my phone won't vibrate until I set vibration on for the apps which I set vibration off earlier. So , I guess for every mode switch it requires these steps to be performed.
