Hi. I understand your frustration, Chris — it’s really disappointing when a new phone like the Galaxy A55 starts acting up after a software update, especially when the camera and battery were previously excellent. Let’s break this down and fix it step by step, InshaAllah.

📸 Camera Blurry/Quality Issues (After One UI 7)
This is a known issue some A55 users have reported after the One UI 7 update — the camera app or image processing service sometimes becomes buggy.
Try these steps:
1. Clear Camera Cache and Data:
Go to Settings → Apps → Camera → Storage → Clear Cache
Then tap Clear Data (don’t worry, it won’t delete your photos).
Restart your phone.
2. Reset Camera Settings:
Open Camera App → Settings → Reset settings.
3. Check Scene Optimizer:
In Camera settings, turn Scene Optimizer OFF and test.
If still bad, turn it back ON — sometimes toggling it resets the processing.
4. Update Samsung Apps:
Open Galaxy Store → Menu → Updates → Update all
(especially update Camera and Gallery apps).
5. Try Safe Mode:
Long-press the Power button → tap and hold “Power Off” → select Safe Mode.
Test your camera.
If it’s fine in Safe Mode, some third-party app is interfering — uninstall recent apps.

🔋 Battery Drain Fix (After Update)
Software updates can cause background syncing or corrupted cache.
Try these fixes:
1. Wipe Cache Partition:
Turn off your phone.
Hold Volume Up + Power until you see the Samsung logo.
Use volume buttons to navigate → select Wipe cache partition → Yes → Reboot system now.
2. Battery Settings:
Go to Settings → Battery and device care → Battery → Background usage limits → Put unused apps to sleep.
Also enable Adaptive Battery.
3. Check for Another Update:
Sometimes Samsung releases quick patches after major bugs.
Go to Settings → Software update → Download and install.
4. Last Resort: Factory Reset
If the camera and battery remain bad even after all this, back up your data and perform a Factory Reset — it often fixes post-update bugs.
