Galaxy ADear Samsung member,
Greetings from Samsung customer support.
Thank you for sharing your concern. We acknowledge your query and apologize for the same. And please follow the easy troubleshooting steps which might help to solve the issue.
Note: We always recommend using a genuine Samsung charger for charging your device. If you are using a non-genuine Samsung charger, check device charging by using another Samsung genuine charger.
Step 1: Check your charging cable (USB cable) for physical damage such as wear and tear, bent prongs, etc. If it is damaged then kindly visit your nearest service center to get it replaced.
Step2. Request you to check the charger functionality with a different device or try to charge the same device with a different charger.
1. If different devices charging with the same charger:
It seems your charger is functioning, before getting into the mobile-related troubleshooting, I would like to know whether you are using a Samsung-approved charger.
Note: We recommend our customers to use only Samsung-approved chargers, as 3rd party chargers with different output ratings may cause errors
2. If the device charging with a different charger:
It seems there is an issue with your charger, Kindly check the physical condition of your charger for any damage.
If damage: Issue might be because of the damage hence we request you to visit Samsung service center to get it replaced (Warranty not applicable).
Step3: Kindly enable fast charging:
Kindly open Device care from settings > tap on Battery > tap on More battery settings > Fast charging > Turn on.
Step 4: Kindly follow the standard charging procedure. Please charge the device in switch-off condition for a minimum of 10 minutes.
Step 5: Kindly turn off unused functions like Wi-fi, GPS, Bluetooth & Location settings when not using them.
1: On the home screen swipe down the notification panel.
2: Turn off Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, and other connectivity features when not using them.
Step6: Kindly close background running apps:
When running multiple applications, the processor processes more tasks and as a result, the device charges slowly. This happens with most electronic devices (even computers/laptops), including the devices of other manufacturers. Close all applications, not in use. This can be accomplished by using the recent application button located to the left of the home button.
Step 7: Usage of the mobile phone when charging may cause a slow charging issue. So we recommend you avoid the usage of the mobile phone while charging.
Step 8: Check the device in safe mode. In this, all 3rd party applications would stop working.
Step to put the device in Safe mode:
Method 1: a. Power off the device.
b. Press and hold the Power key for one or two seconds to turn on the device.
c. When the Samsung logo appears, press and hold the Volume down key.
*If your device functions correctly in Safe Mode, it is most likely that the issue lies with a 3rd party application that can be uninstalled to resolve the problem.
Exit safe mode:
1. Hold the volume down and power the key for at least 5 seconds to force the device to restart.
2. Hold the power button on the right-hand side and select restart on the screen.
3. Swipe down the notification panel to access it. Select the notification safe mode enabled and tap OK on the prompt to restart the device.
Step 9: Kindly check if any software update is pending :
Note :
1 Please ensure a stable Wi-Fi connection to your mobile. Downloading via a mobile network may result in additional charges.
2 Please ensure enough storage space in your device.
3 Please ensure your device has a sufficient battery for updating software. (above 50%)
Settings >> Software update >> Download and install>>Check for software
update >> If Software update available>>Download>>Downloading updates>>Install now.
Note: Your phone will restart after the update is installed.
Note: Your phone will restart after the update is installed.
Step 10: Please reset all device settings using the steps:
Apps>settings> general management>reset all settings( Delete just settings) / Factory reset( Delete complete files, apps etc)
In case the issue still occurs. Please register your concern in Samsung Members Application (Open Samsung Members Application > Support> Tap on error report > Type your query > Send).
Thank you for writing to Samsung.
Warm regard,
Samsung customer support
