The "Each time I leave an app" option for automatically locking the Secure Folder was intentionally removed with the One UI 8 update. This change was part of a larger architectural update to the Secure Folder to address a previous security vulnerability. The Secure Folder now uses a more modern "private profile" system, which enhances the isolation of your data and makes it more secure against external applications and tools.
While we understand that the previous auto-lock feature was convenient for many users, there are other methods to ensure your Secure Folder is locked:
Manual Lock: You can manually lock the Secure Folder by tapping the "Lock and exit" option from the three-dot menu within the Secure Folder app.
Time-based Lock: You can still set the Secure Folder to lock after a certain amount of time or when the screen turns off. These settings can be found in the Secure Folder settings menu.
