After 1 month my son's A50 had automatically bent. No misuse,  no scratches or cracks. Bent so badly it can see-saw with glass screen lying face down.  We put in a warranty claim from the store of purchase (Officeworks, AUSTRALIA) not knowing what is the cause of the problem (we thought maybe the battery was overheating or faulty) but SAMSUNG reports there is nothing wrong with the battery and it cannot be claimed under warranty. I obviously was not happy with this response and have esculated the matter with Samsung Customer Care.  I am going to fight for either a replacement or refund of money. The phone is obviously of poor workmanship and Samsung needs to own up to their mistakes and compensate people for their losses.

You can not claim warranty for physical damage. and im also using A50 for 3-4 months now i haven't faced any bending problems, maybe your son was using his phone too roughly

Please explain how you can use a phone too roughly when there is no other physical damage. There are no scratches, dents, cracks and he doesn't have any back pockets in his pants so there is no chance of sitting on it.  It's simply poor quality materials and workmanship.  How can it be happening to so many people, sometimes there is such a thing as a "lemon" model, Samsung needs to accept that there is an issue with this model and either replace it or give the customers a refund.

My Samsung tablet has been on a specific stand used only for watching series before bed and it has not been misused at all or handled more than 5 times in its 2 months of use not to exaggerate, yet mine still got seriously bent... HOW?

Having the same issue. Noticeably bent phone. Recently replaced due to a screen crack and I can see a bend starting in the phone after 2 weeks.

It is under warranty, And the phone is bent cus the battery is swollen. Call Samsung support or mail them. This issue is a safety issue if nothing works goto Consumer forum as the battery is inbuilt and isn't replaced yet with any local replacement battery. They will change the battery or even phone. (This happened with one of my Lumia 950xl, and that phone was even out of warranty and still they replaced my battery and even offered a replacement of handset if the issue comes again). Accept solution if you are satisfied with my answer.

Hey Amanda I noticed a slight bent in my A50 too , it's not that it happened because of rough usage or something it could have happened while the phone was in a pocket.

Crux: the phone is made slim that it would fail a bend test

My A51 had the same problem . Went to charge it and it would not charge .Thats when I noticed that the phone bent. Same thing no scratches no marks it looked like I just bought the phone. Not even 4 month old. No warranty had to pay for new phone. When I spoke to one of the Samsung techs online , he said"it sound like the battery has over heated and swelled . I bought my phone from Optus and could not believe how rude the sales person was to me, saying that I had sat on my phone and cause it to bent. This is the last Samsung phone or any Samsung product that I will buy. I'm stilling waiting for a result from my dispute case which was lodged back in January.

I bought an a51 less than 4 hours ago. Haven't used it because they didn't have any cases and I'm scared to damage it, so I'm using my old phone on Hotspot until I get one. However, I took the phone out about 20 minutes ago to see of ot had finished setting up and it is NOTICEABLY bent!!
