I need to know what is the security patch available for Samsung A73 5G.
Due to Knox vulnerability issues reported by CERT.in I am forced to update to Android 14 / One ui 6 with the latest security patch for CIVN-2023-0360. Please see the official notes from CERT India.
Is it safe to update to Android 14 from Android 12?
There are a total of 14 OTA updates waiting to be installed. Will they all get installed one by one upto Android 14 or will I be able to update to Android 14 with latest security patch directly?
Can I do it at home safely with a proper wifi connection?
If I don't get a proper response from Samsung, I'll escalate this issue with the highest severity.
The customer service team confirms that Samsung is yet to release a patch for critical Vulnerabilities reported in CIVN-2023-0360. I have recorded both the calls.
Should the customers be at risk of getting hacked until the patch is released?
And what about the numerous complaints about pink line issue, battery drain, charging issues, bootloop issues etc., that have all occurred after updating from android 12 to android 13, 14 by various users in this community?
What do you expect users to do? Install the update and lose the phone? Or simply don't install the update and get hacked?
