Firstly the best feature is the one that informs you which third party app is using camera. Mic or location when you are not using it or haven't given permission. This prevents data mining. A red dot indicates that more than one app is using one of the above or all, say if 'X' App is using camera when you are not using that app , it will show a camera icon with app name at the top of the screen.
In privacy , you can see which apps are using the mic, Camera or location in complete detail whether in usage or background. You have the full control to give the app the full /part permission or deny it.
There are other good features in the privacy feature which I feel makes a confident usage of the mobile without the fear of prying eyes or overhearing. You have the choice to give the exact or appropriate location to a particular app. I have attached a link of video which is very informative, please do check it out.
