if yours new otg not connected then it is compatibility issue now a days otg coming with model specific buy which compatible to your device, it should mentioned ur device name/ model or atleast mentioned as "supported all type c devices "
no fixing bro, you have to buy which compatible to your device if you buy from offline stores ,then check first then buy or if online then check compatibility
