Hello,

Recently I was at a birthday party and was using my phone to take pictures. But to my utter shock, my phone (with Night Shot on) took this ugly picture (1st) and the lighting is so bad you can't see/understand what's wrong with it. This has been happening quite sometimes after the most recent September 2023 update A536EXXS7CWI3 on my camera when the "Night Shot" feature is switched on, but with Night Mode or any other mode with Night Shot turned off, it works normally and takes amazing pictures. I happen to believe that the issue is with after-processing of yellow/blue (or similar) colours.

When I boot into safe mode, it says camera failed. With Night Shot off, it looks normal (see 2nd pic). I don't understand why this is happening. Can anyone help me please? As a sample to this post, the photos don't belong to the birthday party but I have been able to successfully recreate the issue. But it doesn't happen to S21 FE or A54 with September 2023 patch.

Please help.

Image with Night Shot on, see the color grading which makes it difficult to get good pictures with this.

This is how the image should normally look like, taken with Night Shot on, with another Samsung device.

Yes I too was shocked with the night shot.

Especially when the object in focus is near the camera.

Maybe they can fix it in the next update itself as One UI 6 is a few months away and this problem started after the last update. Did you have this issue since the beginning?

Contrast was too much. Colours were absurd. Just like the picture you have uploaded.
Anything dark turned into pitch black.

To me, except the last part, everything applies. I hope they fix it in the October update. It's really troublesome.
