I've just bought my A12 and notice a significant decline in internet speed compared to my last phone. I've tried manually refreshing and picking my own network, restarted it a couple of times, the fastest is Telkom 4g and that's super slow. Is there anyway to increase the speed or am i stuck with this type of speed. Everything else is great, picture isn't triple A but you'll never hear any complaints from me, the hardware is unique compared to every other phone I've had but the speed of my internet is just disappointing. I live in South Africa btw

Hi, Spyce_Gold please reset network settings.

*Stored Wi-Fi, Mobile data and Bluetooth passwords may be removed.

1. From the home screen, swipe either up or down to access apps.
2. Select Settings.
3. Select General Management.
4. Select Reset.
5. Select Reset network settings.
6. Tap Reset settings

If the issue persists, please perform a soft reset of your device.

Press and hold the power and volume down buttons for about 10 seconds.

*The device may take a screenshot, however, keep holding the buttons for a few more seconds.

I've done that a couple of times but it still does that. When i say I've done everything possible, I've done it. Even hard reset it a couple of times but I'm scared it might mess up the device in someway

Some areas in here is S.A dont have best 4G speed ....which is wise to lower down to 3G ...I use to have same problem when I'm home till i lower it....4G is faster than 3G but the range is weaker on 4G ...hence why in villages 3G works better

I thought so. Checking speed tests for both 4g and 3g, 3g has a faster download speed while 4g doesn't. I'm just straight using mobile wifi 24/7 until i go to school where 4g actually performs better

Unless your phone has voLTE ..then you will not worry ...telkom has better cover...but for the other networks use 3G

When you switch to 4g, how many bars appear on status bar for mobile data? If it shows 1 to 3 bars, your phone will automatically switch to a strong network signal. If that new strong network signal is 3g or 2g, you will experience a slow down in internet speed.
