For 9 months I have had 2 email accounts on my Galaxy A50; my gmail account and a mac account. On 15th December my mac account stopped receiving emails (though I could still send emails). After looking for advice, I deleted my mac account and tried to add it again, but came up with the above message.  I have tried changing my apple password. The new password works perfectly on my other apple devices but not on my galaxy. Some help lines suggest that I need a different password with apple for android devices. I have tried that with no success. It has been suggested that this is apple sulking and blocking use of apple accounts on non apple devices. Surely if that was the case, there would be many requests like mine. Pease any ideas gratefully received

drpbull... I feel your pain.  The exact same scenario happened to me on on my S7 Edge on the same date!  I deleted the account from from the phone, reset my password on my Mac account and created a new app-specific password.  Now I get the same message you are getting when I try to add the email account back on my phone.  Someone out there please help us!
