How to get contacts birthday alerts via calender ?

Hello,

I have contacts,whose birthdays i have updated. But on the calendar app doesn't provide any kind alert on the date. 

Doesn't anyone know how to enable these alerts or the default calender app doesn't support it ?

Open your calendar app's side menu. There you will see a 'My phone' section, tap on it you will find the option of toggling contact's birthdays. You will also find your Google account listed below, and on tapping it there will be a birthdays option, enable that too.

These are the steps for Samsung's calendar app.

Thanks for the reply, but I already have those settings enabled. But question is. How do you get a birthday reminder alert ?

You should automatically get a reminder a week before and at the day of the event. If you aren't getting it then check the app's notification settings, otherwise there might be some other problems.
