How does Samsung estimate how long the battery will last?

If you go to the Battery section in Settings there is a graph which estimates how long the remaining percentage of the battery will last. In my case it is saying that with 92% left, I have 19 h 54 m left. But what does this time actually mean? I mean how does Samsung know how much time is left? It does not know how vigorously I am going to use my phone in the future, right? So how does it calculate this time? And how does it draw the graph for the remaining percentage of the battery? On what basis does Samsung calculate this time?

It records your usage like how much you use the phone etc.

It's average time , it can change as per usage

The phone knows your battery consumption in real time (in mAh), records it and determines an average. It then calculates over your remaining battery life what time you have remaining.
At least that's what I'm assuming. There are apps that can tell you what your real-time battery usage is if you want to know

It first records your regular usage patterns for a week, like how much and when you use the phone, and on that basis a average usage data is calculated. Now, assuming you shall use your phone tomorrow most likely the same you had used it yesterday or today. A prediction is done depending on remaining battery power along with recorded usage patterns, preparing this graph. Remaining Time is just an estimate only, because although less likely your usage pattern might change.
