Galaxy AFinally, I also got the mighty Green line feature on Galaxy A73 5g (crying in background).
I've already taken my device to service center and they told that screen needs to be replaced and since my device is out of warranty I am supposed to pay RS 8500\- for the screen replacement. My question here is why we should pay for this repair, since its a clear quality control issue from Samsung.
I can confirm that this issue is happening after 12-09-2023 update which had more than 2GB download size.
When I approached the service center they were saying that, they didn't get any intimation regarding A series phone having this issue, hence I am supposed to pay full amount for repair. So that means Samsung already knows that other series is having similar issue and still they pushed updates without proper testing!!
My another question here is why updates are rushed without proper testing or Quality control? These devices are very costly that is just one factor. But the inconvenience caused by this kind of issue are far more damaging than the actual cost! The reason why we all buy Samsung phones are because of the reliability, the build quality, the service quality and more importantly the TRUST in the brand. With the recent incident we as a user and Samsung fans are disappointed, we are loosing hope and felt betrayed.
I think we should raise a complaint in consumer court for bringing Samsung's attention!

Galaxy ASuch is the fear of this dreaded green line on screen issue that I have Not installed the update Yet.
Samsung is a company with a singular mindset of sales and profit, nothing else.
And in India they don't bother about customer care and post-sale service at all, I can guarantee Even If the product was under warranty Samsung would Not have changed the screen.
I don't like Apple and its software but anyone who wants piece of mind should move to it.

Galaxy AUpdate 1:
I did talk to customer center people today and they told that A series devices are not eligible for free screen replacement, so my Rs 8500 gone for some developers mistake, which Samsung as a global company not willing to take responsibility!
What a joke Samsung!
Why we should pay for this repair, since its a clear case of firmware bug pushed by Samsung itself?
Anyway we as consumers can't get any support from Samsung. We should raise a complaint in consumers court, follow this thread for more info:
Now I lost all the trust in Samsung as a brand. I used to confidently purchase all my gadgets and home appliances from Samsung. Now onwards I won't recommend or buy any Samsung product directly! (If I get it for free I don't care about the brand name 😒).
After the screen replacement we will get 90days warranty. But what if, after 90 days they again push a faulty update that breaks the display or some other components, do we need to pay again?
This Question will remains unanswered here, until a strong consumers friendly law passed (may be its already there and I'm not aware of that, if so please post it as a reply) or there is any involvement from higher officials!
So people who are reading this thread, please be careful with your future purchases and the updates you are receiving, just wait for some time and make sure the update is bug free or don't update at all unless and until its a major update (even though I would suggest to wait for some time).
