Galaxy AHi,
Please follow the steps below in order to detect the problem and solve is:
1- Check to make sure that the proximity sensor is not blocked by a case or cover on your screen.
2-Try deactivating the Adaptive brightness feature to control the screen brightness yourself. Settings- Display-Tap the switch to deactivate "Adaptive brightness"-Slide the bar to the right to increase the screen brightness.
3-Increase the screen timeout. Setting-Display-Tap "Screen Timeout"-Select your preferred time limit for the screen to stay on.
4-Keep the screen active while using it. Settings- Advanced features- Motions and gestures-Keep screen on while viewing.
5-Change the secure lock setting,Setting- Lock screen-"Secure lock settings", then enter your PIN, Pattern or Password if you have one set up-Auto lock when screen turns off-Adjust the time delay.
6-Change power saving mode.
