Galaxy ASamsung,
I have owned five generations of phones prior to this A50. Looking back at images I have kept through the years, it appears that even the earliest generation took more life-like photos than the A50. Whether the image sensor or processing, the detail appears to always be lost or manipulated as if smoothed/dithered by a beauty filter. I have tested every possible setting as well as tried 3rd party camera apps, with no success.
Like many, I did not buy this phone to play games, or watch movies. I assumed the A50 would be slightly less powerful than the S9 and S10 but I never anticipated that the camera would be worse than previous generations of Samsung phones. Unless Samsung is willing to admit they blew it on this phone camera and offer a patch to fix this issue, or an exchange for a comparable model with a better camera, my next phone will certainly not be a Samsung.
