This answer is nonsensical and totally unhelpful. I know of YouTube too and if I had found the answer there I would not have posted here.

Make sure both devices are on rhe same wifi network and also make sure you are not using a vpn. You also need to allow the phone on your samsung smart tv. I know it might sound stupid as a question, but do you use smart view, because screen mirroring apps is far worse than the samsung smart view feature

I don't think you read my post properly. Did you notice what I said about SmartView?

You said smart things,I was talking about smart view. If you go the route to access mirroring through the smart things app,it's a much more difficult process,I gave you the easy solution. Smart things on its own is home automation and it houses smart view, which you access on the 3 dot menu inside smart things or use the easy, route, the solution I gave you. See the attached screen shots. The second screen shot is the easiest route and if it still not work, then you need a newer samsung and it's not compatible with your smart tv or the 2 devices are on different WiFi networks or your tv is just not compatible with smart view. Just remember that sometimes even if your model does not appear on the list of compatible devices, that it sometimes can still do smart view on it's own. If all else fails you can buy a chromecast device or go the expensive route and buy a samsung tv that can do that. Good luck !Screenshot_20220419-135301_SmartThings_135265_1650369181.jpgScreenshot_20220419-135236_SmartThings_135264_1650369156.jpgScreenshot_20220419-134617_Samsung Members_135262_1650368777.jpgScreenshot_20220419-135155_SmartThings.jpg

If the Galaxy A12 had the Smart view option it wouldn't have been a problem, but it doesn't.Screenshot_20220419-141922_One UI Home_7336_1650370781.jpgScreenshot_20220419-141840_Samsung Members_7335_1650370744.jpg

That's really pity and very bad for samsung! I think even the oppo phones has a mirroring feature, I particularly like samsung but this is really bad, there I take my hat off even for the iphone SE of 2017which have airplay. Let's hope you get this on a update, but if you are on android 12 already, you are out of luck and you should either change brand on your next upgrade if you are low on cash or get the bigger samsung. But again samsung really disappointed me ,as your phone isn't even something like the A 10 or the A 0 essentail phones. Once again good luck buddy next time!

Hi Pierre, you know then! I recently upgraded my A21 to an A22 because I ran out of memory space. The 32Gb of the A21 is rubbish and the A22 has 64Gb. However, I then found that, contrary to what the sales guy told me over the phone, the A22 is only available in a single SIM configuration in my area. That doesn't work for my since I have separate voice and data contracts and for some inexplicable reason, my service provider cannot combine the two contracts. So I took the A22 back and since there's really very little difference between the A22 and the A12 in terms of spec's, and the A12 can take two SIM's, I decided on the A12. None of any of my previous phones (Xiaomi, Huawei or Samsung) came without the screen mirroring function so I had no reason to even ask a question about this. The phone is currently on Android 11. I'm hoping that if and when the phone upgrades to Android ver 12 this disappointing situation gets sorted out.
