Just for the record, 4 GB of RAM is already too much for a small device that's supposed to be a cellphone. That is almost PC level, or a full laptop with the Windows operating system. Why don't companies implement a video RAM, so the normal phone memory could stay within reasonable proportions? (I've even heard of 12 GB - and non of the laptops or computers I've owned have ever used that much.)

What do you guys think? 🤔

Phones are different from laptops. What phone do you have? This is just your opinion on phone storage but some people need 8 or 12GB RAM and 128 to 256 of internal storage for various reasons. The RAM on my phone is 8GB and my internal storage is 256GB because there is alot I do on my phone.. I take alot of photos which takes up alot of space and I take photos of everything from nature related to family photos and that is why samsung give is so much RAM and internal storage.

Let me give you an example of what I mean, and where I'm coming from. 4 GB of RAM was enough to run a full Windows desktop (on my laptop PC.) It was also enough to play advanced games like StarCraft 2 perfectly even through an HDMI out (while I played on my television.)

What I mean is that cellphones stopped being cellphones when they started becoming computers.

Android still performs poorly despite a desktop sized memory. 4 GB of RAM is enough to run a FULL PC!! 🤯 😶 Android has lost the ball.

Everything just exploded, and I feel that we've lost the esthetic of a simple cell phone.
