The dual app of samsung whatsapp does not restore backed up chats even after 12 hours of searching. Whereas in another phone restoration is very easy. Why so. Can some body knows this or have experienced the same problem in Samsung Galaxy A52S 5G
I had this same problem on my newly purchased Z fold 4. After multiple unsuccessful tries and uninstalling, reinstalling I was about to give up until I tried to do one thing which was to turn on the Use separate contacts list function in the Dual messenger page. After that somehow, I was able to activate my WhatsApp and restore my backup from google drive. Then after successful restoration you can turn off the use separate contact lists so that the second WhatsApp can also use the main contact list.
It really worked! Thanks for the small trick, it's difinitely Samsung's bug, finally I got my dual whatsapp back up restored without any problems! Thanks a lot.
If Samsung's dual app is having trouble restoring WhatsApp backups, try making sure that both the app and your device's software are up to date. You could also try backing up your chats again and then restoring them, or using a different method to transfer your chats, such as via Google Drive.
