One of the most exciting things for the Hard-of-Hearing (HoH) community about the Android 10 is the new technology called Audio Streaming to Hearing Aids (ASHA) (and Cochlear implants). According to the Cochlear.com, this new protocol works on Galaxy S10, S10+ and S10e (and pixel) phones with the Cochlear N7 speech processor. These phones are quite expensive.  In the affordable pricing category, Samsung has already released Android 10 update to many phones. It has also released new phones (A51, A71, etc.)which come with Android 10 out of the box. Almost all of these phone have Bluetooth 5.0 and BLE. However, direct audio streaming to Cochlear N7 doesn't seem to work on these phones which is a great disappointment to the hearing-impaired community.  I hereby make an appeal to Samsung to release an update enabling the ASHA protocol on the Galaxy M and A series phones. The hearing-impaired community will forever be grateful. Thank you.

i support the above request. my son has just received his new Cochlear N7 processor. we were extremely dissapointed to understand that we cannot pair his A50 phone to his hearing aid. Samsung, please release the update so we can enjoy the devices as intended.

Please fix this. My daughter wears Nucleus 7 aids and her grandfather just took her to buy a Samsung A21 so he could call her on the phone. Online it says Android 10 will work but it doesn’t. My daughter likes this phone but we have to take it back for a smaller iPhone or google pixel since the Samsung models with asha are way too expensive for a 14 year old. PLEASE HELP

Dont know about the Cochlear but my Oticon Hearing Aids do not connect via streaming, to the A31, even though the A31 is supposed to be Android10. I believe the A71 has ASHA but I am not about to buy a new phone to find out. I cannot find any documentation anywhere that categorically confirms this.

I just got through a chat with a Samsung Tech Support guy, and he said that the A51 supports "direct Android Streaming to Hearing Aids"

I have the A51, but I don't have the hearing aids yet ("Resound One"), so it's just a "theoretical" answer for now.

Hello! Have you managed to determine if Samsung A51 does indeed has the ASHA option enabled? I am in the same situation you were at that time and I am curious if I should buy a new phone. My A51 just updated to Android 12. Thanksss!

Please, could you kindly confirm me that also Samsung S20 FE has the ASHA technology and runs with Cochlear Nucleus 7 or Kanso 2. Actually I still have Nucleus 6 so I can not test it but soon I'll do the upgrade to one of tho models above and I want to be sure that this phone model will pair without problems.

Thanks
