Can't access quick settings

For some reason I am unable to use quick settings  when an app is open. I can swipe down and access the same from home screen but when I try to do the same when an app is open it doesn't work. I have cleaned cache  in recovery and also factory reset  but the issue is still there. Am in the latest July patch
Any solutions??

are you swiping from the top of the screen?

hi, swiping down to open quick panel is accessible only from home screen and it doesn't support if any app is open...

it used to work earlier. And I have Samsung s10 plus where it works and also it works on all android. not sure if it's a bug

See, if you are swiping from top while using any apps,then it should work and if you are swiping from middle then it won't work..

Now, if you are using goodlock app/task changer then.turn it off or if you are using some 3rd party themes then.move back to default theme..

I am swiping from top all the way when in app. i know it doesn't work from middle swiping. I don't have good lock. I have reset the phone and only basic apps are installed

To resolve the issue kindly follow the given below steps:-


1. Check device in safe mode:- Press and hold the Power key, when Power off icon appears >Press and hold the power off icon.
Exit safe mode: Hold the power button and select restart on the device.


2. Reset the device:- Settings >General Management > Tap on Reset.
Note: Before reset make sure to have back up of the data via Smart Switch Mobile App
(Install Smart Switch App > Open > Click on Memory Card Icon >Back Up option > Choose the data for Back up > Back Up).


If the issue still persist, kindly register your concern in Samsung Members app (Samsung Members app > Get help > Feedback > Error report/ask question).
Note: Please send device log files within 15 minutes of issue occurrence along with the exact issue details.
