Hello brother. Actually I have heard that the security patch of August update has caused some battery draining issue. Even the S series phone I don't remember the name the battery is draining. I don't know the security update has something to do with battery but that's what I heard from multiple people.

Of course the security update matters to the phones battery life. Specially when the update size is big.and august update was big in size over 900mb

Test with youtube. Watch youtube video for one hour. If your battery drains 15% to 20% your phone has no problem with battery.
You can also check standby time.
Battery will drain 1% for 0ne hour.
