Samsung does not give importance to its A series devices... Bought Samsung Galaxy a8 star but there is no pie or one ui update...if they won't speed up thn ppl might migrate to other brands... Bcaz Chinese brands r giving updates to their low budget phones.. But Samsung is way behind them.

One of the big reason why Samsung is kind of slow when its comes to updates is because Samsung doesn't sell its devices to specific market or targeted market like how Chinese companies do eg Xiaomi (Redmi), Oppo, Vivo.

There are over hundreds of millions of devices (EDIT: Now its over a billion ;p) and its smartphone base is all over the world and pushing all the update to every single devices is really hard (If you put yourself in their shoes than you can imagine how exhausting this scenario is) They have so many galaxy series to name a few are S, Note, A, J, M, C and so on..

So it is tremendously hard for developers to push the software updates to every single device withing a small frame of time.

I hope my elaborate answer will help you give a clean scenario or behind the scene one.

i agree with you.. but do u know A9 and A8 star runs same processor Qualcomm 660!!... If that really matters so why A8 star is delaying each month where A9 got its update on April, 2019.. It's all about their pathetic policy

Now it's something do with their policy. They really need to change it.
