Hello everyone, yesterday I had noticed that my phone started to act a bit strange. The cable would have to be messed with to charge, but it managed to charge a bit. This morning I tried to charge and it refuses to charge. Instead of charging from 69% to let's say 100%, it went from 69% to 65% whilst being plugged in. I booted in safe mode and it charged 1% and is now stuck and the other problem is that it kept charging then stopping and I have to unplug and plug back in for it to charge. This could be an app that's causing this, but the phone constantly charging and stopping is still happening. This isn't the charger because I have tested 3 of the original chargers on this phone and the charger that came with my phone worked normally for the other phones. I haven't received a moisture warning either so I'm quite unsure what this could be. My phone once stayed on 95% and wouldn't change, but after a while it went to 100%.

Things I've tried :

1. Cleaned the port (didn't help)

2. Different chargers (didn't help)

3. Safe mode (charged 1%, but now stuck on 66% for the past 30 minutes)

I'm very frustrated because of this and I've only had it for roughly 7 months.

Is it the charging port or is it something else?

Thank you,

Josh

Does the charging port have physical damage? Can you try charging once when switched off? Also, does it show fast charging when charger is connected?

It doesn't seem like it has physical damage it looks normal, but yes I've tried that and it does show fast charging IF it's plugged in correctly. But I've noticed that it displays connected and disconnected and keeps repeating. From my understanding this is a common thing

Connecting and disconnecting isn't normal, did you try using another cable?

U need to go at a service centre(not necessarily samsung) and ask them to clean the port. It will definitely work.

check the charging socket for adequate power your problem seems to be of reverse charging and juicing out the battery
try charging by different charger or charge via laptop or PC connection with phone in switch off mode 👍👍
use accubattery app to check for battery health also
