Hi Everyone,

Starting at 7% charge, Using a 25W samsung charger its showed 1 Hr 17 Min to full charge, while my old 15 w charger showed 1 Hr 37 min, this is roughly 20% time savings, but the charger wattage is 66% higher !?

I have seen video and blogs that shows 1 Hr 3 min to full charge from 0 to 100%

What is your experience ?

It sounds like you're trying to figure out why your 25W Samsung charger isn't charging your phone as much faster as you expected compared to your 15W charger. Here's a breakdown of the factors at play:
Why the 25W Charger Isn't 66% Faster
* Wattage vs. Charging Speed: While the 25W charger has a higher wattage, that doesn't translate to a directly proportional increase in charging speed. Charging speed is influenced by various factors, not just wattage.
* Charging Curve: Phone batteries don't charge at a constant rate. They typically charge faster in the initial stages (0-50%) and then gradually slow down as they approach full capacity. This is to prevent overheating and prolong battery life.
* Heat Management: Higher wattage chargers can generate more heat. To prevent damage, phones and chargers often have mechanisms to regulate the charging speed, especially as the battery gets closer to full.
* Phone's Charging Circuitry: The phone's internal circuitry also plays a role in how much power it can accept. Even if you have a 25W charger, the phone might not be able to utilize the full 25W throughout the entire charging process.
* Starting Charge Percentage: Starting at 7% instead of 0% can affect the charging time. The initial charging phase is usually faster, so you might not see the full potential of the 25W charger in this scenario.
Why You're Seeing Different Charging Times
* Videos and Blogs: The charging times you see in videos and blogs can vary depending on the phone model, battery condition, charging conditions, and even the software version. These tests are often conducted in ideal conditions, which might not reflect real-world usage.
* 0-100% vs. 7-100%: Charging from 0% to 100% will naturally take longer than charging from 7% to 100%.
What You Can Expect
* Noticeable Improvement: While the 25W charger might not be 66% faster, you should still see a noticeable improvement in charging time compared to the 15W charger.
* Faster Initial Charging: The 25W charger should be significantly faster in the initial stages of charging, especially from 0% to 50%.
* Diminishing Returns: As the battery approaches full capacity, the charging speed will decrease, and the difference between the 25W and 15W chargers might become less significant.
Tips for Faster Charging
* Use the Original Charger: Always use the original charger that came with your phone or a charger from a reputable brand that supports fast charging.
* Keep Your Phone Cool: Avoid using your phone while charging, as this can generate heat and slow down the charging process.
* Close Background Apps: Close any unnecessary apps running in the background to reduce power consumption and heat generation.
* Update Your Phone's Software: Ensure your phone's software is up to date, as updates often include optimizations for charging performance.
In Conclusion
While your 25W charger might not be delivering the exact speed increase you expected, it's still providing a faster charging experience compared to your 15W charger. The factors mentioned above contribute to the observed differences in charging times.

Thanks for your detailed explanation. I understand wattage will not directly translate to charging time reduction, but naturally, the higher wattage design should bring reasonable benefits.

Can u help me understand what is the design charging time for A55 5G with a 25 watt charger ?

While Super Fast charging is advertised as a far better option, the user needs to know indicative charging time at least ?

We can raise the our voice via x.com or any another method either samsung doesn't careand many people suffer from this but doesn't raise complaint so we need to be unity for raising complaint because samsung manufacture A55 faulty piece for all devices not single one we need to raise complaint and they have to recall their smartphones and exchange with S24 Fe or S24 or s23. After this all samsung is worst day by day and if you sell this device samsung devices are very less resale value than other smartphones so what is this ?
