So I finally updated to Android 12 after waiting for 2 months. I used smart switch app for doing so because I had 5 updates in pending(I didn't update after November patch. Smart switch app took only two updates to take my phone directly from one ui 3.1(android 11,November patch) to One ui 4.1(A12,march security patch). Then I cleared cache partition as well.

Now my review of update - No suspense here, there are NO drawbacks, stutters or bugs as of now. Don't know whether it's so because I updated using smart switch method.

Battery life - More or less the same. Still getting 8 hours of SOT from 100 to 10 percent. Hoping that it will improve further after some charging cycles. This back up is after the first charging to 100 after update, which is very impressive. Over night battery drain was ZERO. I went to sleep when the phone was at 75 percent and after 7 hours it was still at 75 (nb- data, wifi, blutooth and location was turned off).

Photography - It was my biggest concern. But,guess what, there is no noticeable change either positive or negative. However,I did notice a slight reduction in saturation. Some colours look a little washed out compared to previous version. But then earlier it was slightly over saturated. People love saturated / contrasty pics. So just go to gallery and click on auto edit. Kaboom,it's social media worthy.

Videography - believe me,its much better compared to 3.1. Less stutters/jitters with good same stability in 4k 30 fps. I didn't try 1080p 60 fps though.

What I don't like about the update: Still no 30 sec shutter speed in pro mode, no camera icon in notification like the mic one, the 24hr time lapse edit thing is not showing for me in the gallery.

Summary : A very good update which I don't regret doing. However, except for some features,I don't think that the Android 12 is a big deal as hyped by all. I mean people are dying for it. I don't get the why behind this hype.

Battery stat attached - 9 hours of SOT.

Hey Sid_Karna, hope you're well!

How's the latest update been treating you? You've been using it for a week now? Have you noticed any bugs and are the heating issues from 4.0 fixed?

Thanks in advance!

Also, forgot to ask, that smart switch app you've used to update your phone is for a PC? Do you have any articles/videos you've followed to get your phone up to date?

The app is available for both pc and your device. You can download the same for pc from Samsung website. Then just connect your device to pc with a data cable. It will automatically show that an update is available. Click on it and follow the instructions. It's pretty straight forward.

I m new to samsung world i brought this pH on 6th April n I must say pH is balanced in all terms battery life camera ui experience is very good I almost get 7.5 hrs of sot everyday without gaming n standby drain Is nil.havent found any bug so far.so I m quite happy with it.but I wished it had good charger but they provided 15 watt charger which approx takes 2 hrs to charger from 0 to 100 so I bought 25 watt charger for 2k next day but still it takes 1 hr 15 min to charge as I m coming from 65 watt charger which used to charge phone within 28 min from 0 to 100 this 25 watt feels very slow but thats good for battery life in long term but when u need to charge up fast n get some juice as soon as it can it's would b frustrating.but still its a good phone n I havent used one ui 3.0 so I can't comment on it that how buggy that was.

Bought A52s a week back..Updated the phone to UI4.0 and Andriod 12.0. The battery backup seems to be poor ..When I put the phone on standby, it reduces by 3% almost in 12 hrs stand by time..I have set the Dark mode..Stopped the apps from running in the background. Optimed the apps. Still the battery performance seems to be poor...
