Very recently Samsung started the BA selection process and did ask about Twitter, IG and other platform followers count. Many, even though very popular in the community didn't get selected because of fewer followers or zero presence on other SM sites.
And of that, there are some people targetting existing BAs for this. Saw one post, but that post does not exist anymore.
Guys, first of all, no need to make a fuss about not getting selected as a BA - be it you or your friend. And specifically targetting a BA doesn't show any kind of good behavior as well. That's all Samsung's internal selection process, in which even BA doesn't know much about. And moreover, BA or any of us can't challenge that internal policy of Samsung, simply because they do not care.
When they asked for the number of followers, it should be a clear red flag for you that Samsung might select only those with higher follower counts. Why make a fuss over that. In fact, this is going on since the very beginning of the community anyways.
TL;DR - Don't make a fuss about not getting selected as BA as if your life depends on it.
Samsung can select a guy in 2021 with 58 followers on Instagram @indiantrueindian but in 2022 Samsung itself violates the t&c which it itself made 🤣. In 2019 ba selection was Good 👍 everyone got chance this year its more of Instagram thing as i got information when the form was opened infact it would be better to do selection on Instagram 😂😂😂😂
