Introducing Remaster
Let us introduce to you the “Remaster” feature in the Gallery app, with much improved image quality enhancement capabilities.
This feature makes it easier to improve the quality of the photos in the Gallery app. Advanced AI technology automatically spots hidden quality issues in photos and improves them accordingly in one go. It sharpens photos that come out blurry due to shaking, brightens and naturally corrects photos in which people come out too dark, and cleans up photos with a lot of noise (coarse image quality) for a clearer and more vivid image quality.
The photo is analyzed using high-performance image-quality analysis technology to identify factors such as shaking, lack of brightness, backlighting, and noise. Afterwards, only the necessary correction method is chosen and applied based on the analysis results.
You can apply up to three adjustments to a single photo at the same time, including blur improvement, brightness improvement, and noise reduction, so even if there are multiple problems, a single touch is enough to achieve a comprehensive improvement.
Even low-resolution photos with 3 megapixels or less are enhanced with AI-powered upscaling, allowing you to enjoy photos in larger, clearer versions.
Since all of these processes are done automatically, anyone can obtain high-quality photos easily, without any special knowledge or configuration.
Now, try enhancing your photos easily with the Gallery app.
You can clean up old memories, blurry shots, brightness and noise issues, and enjoy clearer photos.
How to use Remaster
You can run the Remaster feature on photos that you believe need remastering on the Gallery's photo view screen as follows.
Try it when:
Take advantage of the Remaster feature in the following situations. You can solve a variety of common photography problems quickly and easily and get clean and professional results.
1) You want to clean up a shaky, blurred photo
The most common reasons for a shaky photo are when the camera or subject moves, or when the shutter speed is slow due to low light. Shaking is more likely to occur when shooting indoors or at night. In such cases, Remaster’s image quality improvement AI automatically analyzes the blurred photo, reduces the blur, and makes it sharper.
For example, try this feature on blurry images captured while filming a video, or on shaky photos taken in a dark place. You can get a clear photo with just one touch without any cumbersome editing.
2) When you don’t like the brightness of a photo
If the shooting environment is backlit or the focus is somewhere other than on the subject, the desired subject may appear dark; or photos taken in a cafe or indoors with dim lighting may appear dark overall.
Remaster analyzes the brightness issues in your photos automatically and adjusts them to make the subject brighter and clearer. For example, if your friend is backlit at the beach and appears too dark, this feature can help balance the light to make the photo look better.
3) When you want to reduce noise in photos
Noise can occur mainly due to a lack of light when shooting indoors or at night, or when photos are taken with older devices. Remaster's AI noise removal feature finds noise in photos automatically and cleans them up. For example, if a party photo taken at night or a family photo taken a long time ago is full of noise, this feature can restore it so that you get a cleaner and sharper picture.
In addition to the above, Remaster has been developed to improve the overall quality of your photos in a variety of situations. Without the use of complicated editing tools, AI-based automatic correction makes it easy and quick to achieve professional-quality results. This way, you can preserve your cherished memories in a more clear and beautiful way.
