HyperLapse
A time-lapse video can play reality faster than it actually is. We call it ‘Hyperlapse’ in Galaxy. There are daytime and night-time Hyperlapses.
Daytime Hyperlapse videos uses video stabilization.
On the other hand, the Night-time Hyperlapse uses long exposures. It has outstanding low-light picture quality and can show the trajectory of light.
How to use it
- Turn on camera app -> Select More -> Select Hyperlapse
2-1. Select speed (playing speed).
- Select ‘change speed’.
- Scroll left or right to select the night-time/daytime Hyperlapse and speed.
- A (Auto) Mode
- Night-time Hyperlapse
- Daytime hyperlapse
2-2. Select resolution
2-3. Choose the time limit after which the recording will stop automatically (Infinite/10 mins/30 mins/60 mins/120 mins/180 mins/300 mins).
2-4. Choose AE&AF Lock/UnLock and adjust brightness: It is recommended to lock AE and AF when filming a sunset or sunrise.
2-5. Start recording – It is recommended to fix the phone to a tripod before recording a night-time Hyperlapse.
Rear Astro-HyperLapse
We have added ‘Astrolapse’ mode for Astro-Hyperlapses by providing 300x to the rear camera's night Hyperlapse.
Astrolapse supports recording of star transit and trajectories.
※ This is currently only supported in the S23 rear wide camera. We are looking to looking to expand support to S22, Fold4, and Flip4 wide cameras.
How to use?
Front Night-HyperLapse
Night Hyperlapse, previously supported in the rear camera, is now supported by the S23 front camera.
※ Currently looking to expand support in the S22, Fold4, and Flip4 wide cameras.
It's great for recording light painting videos in a dark room or outdoors in the dark.
(Tip: Camera Settings -> Save selfies as previewed ON)
