Dear Samsung Support,

I recently had my brand-new Galaxy S23 Ultra stolen. It was heartbreaking, and I realized how easily the thief could just power off the phone — completely defeating all the anti-theft features like Find My Mobile and SmartThings.

Now, I have purchased the Galaxy S24 Ultra, but I’m living in fear of losing it again. I truly love your devices — the quality, performance, and experience are unmatched — but the lack of power-off protection while the phone is locked is a critical security flaw.

Please consider adding a Power-Off Lock option in Secure Lock Settings, so that:

PIN/biometric authentication is required to power off the phone

Access to the power menu and quick settings (from the lock screen) is restricted

Many other brands like OnePlus already offer this protection, and it is a simple but powerful way to prevent immediate misuse after theft.

Kindly address this in a future One UI update. I know many Samsung users would be grateful for this improvement.

Thank you for your support and understanding.

Send an error report along with log files to customer support through this members app and Samsung will add/fix it in the next update. To do that follow this procedure
Open Samsung Members Application > Support> Tap on send feedback> Choose Composer> Select error report> Select the appropriate issue category> Type your query and send.

If you find this helpful I'd appreciate it if you could Accept it as a solution Thank you 😊

This feature is already in the S24 Ultra. In Settings, search for "Lock network and security." Now lock the screen and try to power off. You will need to enter your password, PIN, or fingerprint to power off.

If you find this helpful I'd appreciate it if you could Accept it as a solution Thank you 😊

It works.
Asks for pin or finger print when trying to turn off from lock screen.

You don't have to do anything extra ordinary.
Even a fresh newly phone with just a pin lock and then you can't even turn it off without a pin.
Samsung had this for atleast 6 years as far I have tested
