Recently I posted that my phone has an amoled display but doesn't have AOD. (Galaxy A15) and wanted to know the reason behind it.

I think I guessed a reason. You see, in the iPhone commercial they said their phone refresh rate goes down to 1 HZ in AOD mode.
I think those samsung amoled phones with no AOD cannot reach the level. They may have 60 HZ or 90 HZ at lowest. If its true, that's a hardware level problem, I guess. And then, giving AOD in these phone wouldn't be a good choice.

Please, those who have high end phones with AOD enabled, please go to developers mode and turn on "show refresh rate". Then turn AOD on. And please let us know what refresh rate do you get at that time.

just use 3rd party apps, but there are risks of screen burn using AOD, try at your own risk

1 hz RT for aod is awaysome,.but 60 hz for aod = wasting energy.
