What's more important! Is it app updates or UI updates? I thinks personally having latest apps which are provided by Google/android it's what makes our phones function optimally. Glorifying Samsung's UI somehow is overrated especially when it can't even deliver on timely 😔 updates. Hence I replaced native apps on my phone with ones provided by Google LLc.

App updates fix problems and add new features to apps.

UI updates change the phone’s look and improve how it works.

Both are important, but UI updates affect the whole phone, so they’re a bit more important.

OS is the core engine, like you say UI is about customisation. Google apps already offers AI tools which is the same architecture Samsung uses. So you can run your Samsung on Google apps alone but cannot other way around.
