Hie guys,

I need help with getting my software to date... I got the device a while ago though pre-owned. It looks like the phone was force updated using external software though it's genuine and all, but since then no security updates, just software glitches, such as having to press or tap screen 5/6 times for it to turn on, and sometimes losing colour temperature. 

Do you have any tips for me?

Back up your data using Smart Switch or cloud services.

Go to Settings > General management > Reset > Factory data reset.

Ensure the device is on official firmware before resetting to avoid bricking the phone.

Flash Firmware via Odin (Advanced Option)

Download the latest firmware for your model from a reliable source like SamMobile.

Use Odin (a Samsung firmware tool) to manually flash the official firmware.

This requires enabling Developer Options and USB Debugging on your device.

Confirm that the software is genuine by checking the build number against the official Samsung updates for your region. Use tools like Samsung's Smart Switch for this.

I will try resetting first then download firmware if all else fails
I thought there was another way of doing it
