For long now Samsung Phones have been ridiculed for not having smooth and buttery animations, but there's an Android setting that has made my experience so much smoother.

Setup
  • Go to settings
  • Go to "About Phone" at the bottom most option
  • Select software information
  • Locate "Build Number" and continously press it 7 times to enable developer options
  • Go back to the main settings page and select developer options
  • Locate Window Animation Scale, Transition animation Scale and Animator animation Scale
  • Change all these options from 1x to 2x
  • Restart your phone

You should now notice that your phone operates smoother. Pay speacial emphasis to gesture interaction, keyboard pop-up and homescreen animations

Sorry for the bad experience

In all honest, most people don't notice any lag transitioning from 1x to 2x scale

I'd say it's slow at 5x and 10x

The idea is that if the animation last longer, then it feels smoother which is the same strategy used by Apple -the company praised for its smooth animation

It's a widely used trick and has even been recommend by notable tech reviewers such as Parker Button

I set mine at 0x5 and use the sam helper app to put on precise 0.90 and my animations are the perfect balance between speed and smoothnes and fluidity.2x animations is way too slow

I get that but the things is anything below 1x makes the phone faster not smoother. If you plan to have your phone respond almost instantly to touches then pair a 4GB+ RAM phone with >1x animation Scale and you'll feel like you're using a premium phone

But faster animations don't provide smoother feel and experience. This is what One Ui has been trying to fix. If you compare Touch Wiz and one Ui you realize that Touch Wiz has snappy animations which made it look a bit cheap.

Apple has perfected the art of timing animations and as a Samsung fan the one thing that I'm jealous of when it comes to UI is their smooth animations

There's something about watching your keyboard emerge from the bottom and watch everything gently fall into place instead of everything just popping up and snapping across the screen

It's in the design and aesthetics

Well mine is fast and smooth dont know what is wrong with ya'll phones. You should try turning off afaptive battery and setting One UI home,System UI and Android system apps to unrestricted battery if you want smoother phone experience.

Well you style your phone the way you want to and I style mine as I want to and every Samsung user does that so it feels perfect to them. One UI is about customisation after all and it's what android excels in innit?

This has nothing to do with customization its changing simple settings🤦🏽so its up to you if want to or not.

Customisation is changing your phone to suit your needs and your interest 👌🏻❤️thus it's customizing it.

And yes that is what I'm saying, if you like it then turn it on but if you don't then don't turn it on
