Hello Samsung Community 👋

I recently updated my Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 on September 26, 2024, and since then, I've been experiencing an issue with the screen. After locking and unlocking the device, the screen intermittently glitches, displaying a half black and glitchy image.

I want to note that there is no significant screen damage—just a slight scratch.

I’ve tried the following troubleshooting steps:
- Booted into recovery mode and wiped the cache partition.
- Tested the display in safe mode, where the issue still occurred.
- Observed that the problem sometimes resolves itself without any action taken on my part.

I would appreciate any insights on potential solutions or if anyone else has experienced similar issues after an update. Is there a way to revert to a previous software version if this continues?

Thank you 🫶

Hey Warren
Unfortunately, I haven’t found a permanent solution yet However, when the issue occurs, I hold down the volume down and power buttons to force a restart
Alternatively, I sometimes press the power button to lock the screen, and if the display is glitchy after unlocking, I press it again to lock and unlock, which usually resolves the glitch

Hope this helps if you're facing the same issue!

I also have a similar problem with my samsungs21 plus. It's been 2 weeks now, and my top most area (camera cutout area) no longer responds to touch. I suspect this came after the update I did 3 months ago.

I have tried contacting the samsung team, and they provided troubleshooting tips to fix it, but none work.

All settings reset.
Force restart
Hard Reset
Safe mode
Software update

I also went to their service center, I was told they can't help me as it is an overseas device. The phone is just 11 months old and was never subjected to any damage. Just woke up one day they phone wasn't responsive anymore.
