SIM card not working after update/ Emergency Calls Only error

so after the software update my phone randomly stopped reading my sim, what'll do is itll flick from showing the 4g let symbol with a 0 bar indicator then it'll turn completely off and say they're is no sim and itll keep doing that every  1-2 minutes, but sometimes itll just randomly start working completely normal but after a few hours to a day itll start doing it afain

Have the same issue on my note 20 and after a week with no signal was left with no choice but to upgrade. The phone did connect to the network every now and again and then just drops
