Have any of you tried native video call and does it work because mine always says call ended and I have to use Google Meet

You have to use on compitable devies of samsung, not other brand. The Sim card you are using must be active with VoLTE sign. If you do not meet all the above, it will not work. Also, you must disable google meet for samsung video to be a default when you want to use it.

I have both options but video call doesn't go through, maybe the people I try to call are the problem

Yea, before you do that to others test this on someone close to you to be sure first. Then, you will go out and test it outside.
