Samsung has published the official details of January 2025, but with the latest update, the company not only brought new security changes but also brought new changes to the list of eligible devices and retired three Galaxy devices.
Samsun strictly follows the software update policy for its Galaxy devices and, from time to time, reiterates them according to the pre-decided policy.
Like now, Galaxy A02s, Galaxy A12, and the W21 5G, which is the Chinese variant of the Galaxy Z Fold2 5G are removed from the security patch list. The latter had already stopped receiving updates in other markets since October of last year.

It is worth noting that all three devices were launched back in 2020 and got regular software updates in the form of some major Android updates and several security patches, but as these devices are predecided to get only four years of software support, so now they are dropped from their.
As a flagship device, Samsung W21 5G has received three major operating system updates, while Samsung Galaxy A02s and Galaxy A12 have received two and stop at the One UI 4.1 interface based on Android 12.
