Microphone switching issues, Galaxy A3 (2017)

I bought an external Mic to improve the quality of my voice recordings, But when I plug the Mic in it doesn't switch to external mic on my Phone,

And there is no setting that I could find that allows you to do such a simple thing.

Please if there is a setting or option to switch from the Phone Mic to the External Mic, please respond as urgently as possible..

Please note that the source of connection that goes into my phone is the normal 3.5 mm TRRS audio Jack,
Please note that there is no prompt when Mic is connected,
The issue I have logged is not for diagnosis of my microphone whether it works or not,
My enquiry is related to the fact that there are no default settings for any microphone including the built-in mic,

As indicated I am in the audio settings and there is nothing related to a Microphone, the only settings I have for voice is In the accessibility menu which is either speech to text, which I don't need, and then text to speech which i also don't need, but there is nothing whatsoever about Microphone settings

That is my issue...
