So I have been wondering does Samsung support rooting your device? I know that google doesnt like it becuase people can see and disable the data collection, but does Samsung follow the footsteps of google or do they encourage it?

I don't think any company will ever encourage rooting. A rooted device will have unofficial software

Samsung does not support it. It will most likely void your warranty too, if there are any software issues (even if those issues are not caused by the rooting).

Just curious why you would want to root your Samsung? I ask this only because risk vs reward doesn't balance for me.

I don't know much about rooting. Please tell me which phone model and eg of feature? I am genuinely interested. Is rooting complicated?

My phone is Samsung a22 4g and no rooting is not complicated but you need to know the bad things about rooting like it's gonna trip knox so Samsung wallet and Samsung health won't work anymore and examples of features you could are you can make your phone stop charging at a certain percentage there's also apps that can help you modify the system that only work with root but if you want more information about magisk root search magisk modules on YouTube
