OthersOpen Messages then tap on vertical 3-dots (menu) on top right corner then select Recycle bin/Trash on the pop up which appears.

OthersOnce you deleted a message, you will not be able to recover that message unless your phone has a Recycle Bin or Trash. Mine has it:

OthersI have a different model of phone, but also on android. I was able to recover deleted text messages on android realspyapps.com/recover-deleted-text-messages-on-android/ and quite successfully. I recommend to look at it, it should be useful.
